Privacy Policy

FancyText Pro ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that converts selected text into Unicode font styles and translates selected text. This Privacy Policy covers both the Extension and the FancyText Pro website at fancy-text-pro.saospring.shop ("the Site").

In short: the Extension does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on external servers. The Site provides an optional Google Sheets feature, described in Section 6, that requires Google Sign-In and authorization. You can use the Extension and the Site's text conversion tools without signing in.

The Extension accesses the following data locally on your device only:

• Selected text: When you highlight text in an editable field, the Extension reads that selection to perform font conversion. This text is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent anywhere.

• Favorite font preferences: If you star a font style as a favorite, that preference is saved using Chrome's local storage API. This data is stored on your device only and is never transmitted to any server.

The Extension does not collect or transmit:

• Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)

• Browsing history or URLs

• Page content or full-page text

• Keystrokes or clipboard contents

• Device identifiers or IP addresses

• Usage analytics or telemetry of any kind

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

Font conversion runs entirely offline inside your browser and involves no third party.

The translation feature is the single exception. When you translate a selection, only the text you highlighted is sent to Google Translate so that a translation can be returned. No account information, page URL, browsing history or device identifier is included in that request. If you never use the translation feature, the Extension sends nothing to anyone.

The Extension integrates with no analytics platform and no advertising network.

The Site offers an optional Save to Google Sheets feature. Google Sign-In is required only when you choose to use this feature; the Extension and text conversion tools continue to work without an account.

When you sign in from the Google Sheets page, the Site requests these OAuth scopes:

• openid — to confirm the sign-in is genuine

• email — to identify the account used for the Sheets action

• profile — to display your name and profile picture

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets — to create a spreadsheet, append converted text, and read spreadsheet rows when you explicitly request those actions

How Google user data is used: FancyText Pro sends only the converted row you choose to save to the spreadsheet you select, or to a new spreadsheet it creates for you. It reads spreadsheet rows only after you select a spreadsheet and request that they be displayed in the Site. The Site does not scan spreadsheets in the background and does not access Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, or unrelated Drive files.

Storage and sharing: your identity details and OAuth tokens are held in an encrypted, HTTP-only session cookie so the Site can complete the actions you request. While the Google Picker is open, the current access token is also used temporarily in the active page to display spreadsheets you can select. We operate no user database and do not permanently store copies of spreadsheet contents on our servers. Data and tokens are transmitted only between your browser, the FancyText Pro Site, and Google APIs to provide the feature. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with unrelated third parties. Signing out or clearing the session cookie removes the Site session.

FancyText Pro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke FancyText Pro's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

The only data stored by the Extension is your favorite font styles, conversion history and settings, saved via Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data:

• Resides solely on your local device

• Is never synced to external servers

• Can be cleared at any time by removing the Extension from Chrome

The Site stores the encrypted session cookie described in Section 6 while you are signed in. Spreadsheet rows are sent to or read from Google Sheets on your instruction and are not copied into a FancyText Pro database.

FancyText Pro does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The Extension does not collect personal data from any user, regardless of age.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
